Ahead of the Global DPI Summit 2025, Beckn Labs and Google Cloud have launched Beckn Onix, a new open-source platform designed to speed up the development and adoption of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) built on the Beckn Protocol.
The platform reduces onboarding time for open networks from months to just minutes, making it faster and easier for governments, startups, and enterprises to build interoperable, AI-powered ecosystems across sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, skilling, mobility, and energy.
“Open networks are the digital rails for the next generation of AI, and Beckn Onix is the catalyst for action,”
Said Anil Bhansali, Vice President of Engineering, Google Cloud.
“An organization that used to wait months to onboard can now leverage AI-driven solutions in a fraction of the time, empowering millions of people in emerging markets.”
“What’s unique about Beckn Onix is it serves as a common plug-and-play adaptor,” Said Sujith Nair, CEO of Beckn Labs.
“It enables participants to tap into Beckn’s unique potential, creating interconnected ecosystems across commerce, learning, energy, and agriculture.”
Beckn Onix acts as a universal “bridge,” allowing existing systems to communicate across diverse digital platforms securely.
Its plugin-based architecture ensures flexibility and interoperability for organizations integrating their preferred tools and services.
Already deployed in India’s Uttar Pradesh, Beckn Onix has powered the Open Network Stack for Agriculture (ONA), helping over 12,800 farmers increase their profitability.
“Open networks powered by Beckn create unified systems for global collaboration,”
Said Pramod Varma, Co-founder and Chief Architect of Networks Of Humanity. “Beckn
Onix turns that vision into reality — enabling trusted, cross-sector digital interactions rapidly and effortlessly.”
Further updates expected following the Global DPI Summit as Beckn Onix expands to more sectors and regions worldwide.
